Managing Director, Power & Utilities Investment Banking – New York

We are partnering with an elite advisory boutique to appoint a Managing Director to its Power & Utilities Investment Banking team in New York.

This is a senior leadership role for a banker with an established client franchise, who can originate and execute transactions and help shape the growth of the sector team.

The Role

• Originate and lead new mandates across the power and utilities sector, with corporates, infrastructure funds and financial sponsors
• Take senior ownership of transaction execution, from pitch through to closing
• Act as a trusted, long-term adviser to clients on strategic alternatives, M&A, valuation and capital structure
• Lead, develop and mentor deal teams across the Senior Vice President, Vice President, Associate and Analyst levels
• Contribute to the strategy, profile and growth of the firm’s Power & Utilities franchise

The Candidate

• Currently a Managing Director, or a senior Director ready to step up, in Power & Utilities Investment Banking
• A proven track record of originating and executing transactions in the sector
• Deep, established relationships with power and utilities clients and investors
• Strong leadership, commercial judgement and client-advisory skills
• Based in New York, or willing to relocate to the city
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
